Homage to Fahrenheit 451 (five paintings)
inspired by 1966 film directed by Francois Truffaut
This is a favorite film of mine. Truffaut's interpretation of Ray Bradbury's haunting tale of book banning has many iconic elements, including the use of real locations in England and France (as opposed to artificial set designs), performances by Oskar Werner and Julie Christie, a soundtrack by Bernard Herrmann, and Truffaut's imaginative use of color.
